2025 Year in Review — Building HÄDDEN, Slowly and Intentionally

When we started shaping HÄDDEN, we were not trying to make just another pet product brand.

We kept coming back to the same feeling: why do so many things made for pets still feel like they have to be hidden away? Why does living with animals so often mean compromising the way a home looks, feels, and functions?

HÄDDEN began with that question.

In 2025, we spent the year trying to answer it in our own way — through materials, form, trial and error, and a growing belief that pet objects can belong in the home as naturally as any other piece of furniture or design.

This year was not only about launching products. It was about defining what kind of brand we want to become.

Designing beyond function

A scratching board can be practical. It can also be beautiful.

That idea sounds simple, but in practice it pushed us to rethink almost everything — proportion, color, texture, silhouette, and the emotional role an object plays in a room. We did not want to make something that only solved a pet need. We wanted to create pieces that felt calm, intentional, and worth living with every day.

Some of our biggest design decisions this year came from paying attention to small things: how a leaning angle changes the way a cat approaches an object, how color sits against a wood frame, how a surface looks in morning light, or how a product feels when it is left out in the living room rather than tucked into a corner.

For us, these details matter. They are what turn an object from a pet accessory into part of the home.

Learning what our brand really is

One of the most important parts of 2025 was realizing that HÄDDEN is not just about cats. It is about shared space.

That shift changed how we think. Instead of asking, “What does a pet product need to do?” we began asking, “What does modern living with pets actually look like?” That question opened up a much bigger world for us — one that includes interiors, daily rituals, emotional connection, and the aesthetics of home life.

We found ourselves drawn less to the language of the pet industry and more to the language of design, culture, and domestic living. Not because function is unimportant, but because function alone has never been enough for us.

We believe people should not have to choose between loving their pets and loving their homes.

Building while still figuring it out

This year also reminded us that building a brand is rarely neat.

There were moments of excitement, clarity, and momentum. There were also moments where things took longer than expected, changed shape halfway through, or forced us to reconsider what we thought we already knew. We spent a lot of time refining, editing, testing, and sometimes stepping back before moving forward again.

That part is easy to hide, but it is also the most real.

A lot of HÄDDEN in 2025 was built through patience — through small adjustments, repeated decisions, long conversations, and learning to trust a point of view before the outside world fully sees it. We are still growing into our identity, but this year helped us understand that the brand becomes stronger every time we choose not to rush what matters.

What shaped us most this year

More than anything, 2025 was about taste, discipline, and direction.

We learned that good design is not only about what you add, but what you leave out. We learned that brand building is not only about visibility, but consistency. And we learned that creating something with a point of view means being willing to move more slowly than the market sometimes wants.

We became more certain about the kind of world HÄDDEN wants to build:
a softer one,
a calmer one,
and one where life with pets feels more integrated, more thoughtful, and more beautiful.

Looking ahead

As we move forward, we are thinking not only about new products, but about a larger design language — one that can continue to grow with the home.

We want HÄDDEN to keep exploring the space between utility and atmosphere, between pet needs and interior life, between everyday use and emotional attachment. That is where the brand feels most alive to us.

2025 was a foundational year. It gave us a clearer sense of what we are making, why we are making it, and what we want HÄDDEN to stand for.

We are still early. But that feels exciting.

Because what we are building is not just a product line. It is a way of living with pets that feels more considered, more expressive, and more at home in the world we want to live in.

HÄDDEN
For pets. For people. For the home.
